The behavior of Wilson lines in representations {ital J}=1/2, 1, and 3/2 in the critical region of the deconfined phase of finite-temperature, SU(2), lattice gauge theory is studied. Theoretical considerations based on a flux model and on the three-dimensional {phi}{sup 4} model predict {l angle}{ital L}{sub 1}{r angle}{r arrow}{ital const} and {l angle}{ital L}{sub 3/2}{r angle}{proportional to}{l angle}{ital L}{sub 1/2}{r angle} as {ital T}{r arrow}{ital T}{sub {ital c}}{sup +}. For {ital T} sufficiently close to {ital T}{sub {ital c}}, Monte Carlo data favor these predictions over the mean-field result {l angle}{ital L}{sub {ital J}}{r angle}{proportional to}{l angle}{ital L}{sub 1/2}{r angle}{sup 2{ital J}}.
