Angular distribution and helicity dependence in B r arrow K sup (*) l+ l minus

We calculate the decay rates for {ital B}{r arrow}{ital Kl}{sup +}{ital l{minus}} and {ital B}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup *}{ital l+}{ital l{minus}} as functions of the invariant mass of the {ital l}{sup +}{ital l{minus}} pair and the center-of-mass angle in the {ital l}{sup +}{ital l{minus}} center-of-mass frame. We obtain the helicity dependence of {ital B}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup *}{ital l+}{ital l{minus}} and calculate the contributions from the {ital CP}-odd and {ital CP}-even channels. In the calculations we use the heavy-quark and factorization approximations.
