Angular distribution and [ital CP] effects in rare decays of vector mesons

We calculate the differential decay rate for the semileptonic decay [ital V][r arrow][ital Rl][sup +][ital l[minus]] when [ital R] is a scalar, a pseudoscalar, and a vector as a function of the invariant mass of the [ital l][sup +][ital l[minus]] pair and the scattering angle in the [ital l][sup +][ital l[minus]] center-of-mass frame. We obtain the helicity dependence of the decays and calculate the asymmetry factor [alpha]([ital s]) and the ratio of the contributions from the [ital CP]-odd and [ital CP]-even channels. We repeat the calculations for the nonleptonic decay [ital V][r arrow][ital RR][prime]. In the calculations we use the heavy-quark and factorization approximations.
