Hydro's new redevelopment market

The market for new hydro development is in a state of stagnation. Manufacturers are encountering fierce competition as developers complete work on their backlog of projects. Engineering firms, however, have found a market within a market. They are busy planning the redevelopment of the nation's aging hydro facilities. Relicensing requirements couldn't have come along at a better time. ASE contacted the American Public Power Association, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Army Corps. of Engineers to find out what their upgrade/rehab plans are. Also, comments from some of the engineering firm representatives are included.
