US refining trends 1989: Gasoline liability revealed

Journal Article · · Energy Detente; (USA)
OSTI ID:6975700
Gasoline dislocation following the Valdez oil spill of March 24, 1989,and the resulting upheaval of the futures markets and public dismay, did little good for the U.S. refining industry last year - despite the rapid and large gasoline price increases. This issue taps the ED Refining Netback Data Series (RNDS) to feature what happened to crude oil prices, product worth, and the role of the gasoline market in 1989. As usual the RNDS is presented for the US Gulf and West Coasts, Rotterdam, and Singapore as of January 5, 1990. The ED Fuel Price/Tax Series is presented for countries of the Western Hemisphere, January 1990 edition. 10 figs., 5 tabs.
