Detailed specifications are tabulated for various properties: of automotive gasoline for ground vehicles. ASTM methods are specified for each of the following properties or impurities: distillation range, vapor-liquid ratio, vapor pressure, octane number (research method and motor method), corrosion, oxidation stability, existent gum, sulfur, and lead. A schedule of seasonal and geographical volatility classes of gasoline is tabulated as is the antiknock index reductions for various altitudes. (BLM)
