The purpose of the report is to fulfill the requirement of section 403(e) of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization of 1986. The report consists of four volumes. This component, volume 3, reflects interagency perceptions of the near- and long-term research needs which exist to better characterize the range of indoor-air-quality concerns and identify technologically sound mitigation strategies.
