During the past two years, significant progress was made in the three areas. These are (1) Studies of Interfacial Debonding and Sliding Friction in Ceramic-Matrix Composites, (2) Processing and Characterization of Alumina-Reinforced TZP Composites, and (3) Application of Electrical-Mechanical Analog to Composites. Highlights to the research results in the above three areas are described this report.
