A doctoral internship at BP Exploration (Record of study)
This Record of Study documents the author's internship experience while working with BP Exploration in Anchorage, Alaska, during the period February 1, 1988 through January 31, 1989. It is intended to establish that this experience meets the objective of the Doctor of Engineering internship. The primary focus of the author's activities was the large Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project located at Prudhoe Bay Field, on Alaska's North Slope. The author participated in many technical and nontechnical activities within this project, including development of a computer evaluation program and Miscible Injectant (MI) allocation optimization methodologies. Additional activities were compositional simulation, compositional samples studies, and other projects undertaken in the spirit of teamwork.
