An isopachous map is presented of a portion of Converse and Niobrara counties, Wyoming, Kaye field. The data give the Kaye field production from discovery through Aug. 1972 (production data by month as well as by year). There are approx. 9,200 acres productive, the average depth is 5,500 ft, the spacing is 160 acres, the approximate oil-water contact is 1,100 ft, and the oldest horizon tested is the Lakota. The producing formation is Cretaceous Teapot Sandstone. The estimated ultimate recovery is 6,000,000 bbl. The trap type is stratigraphic loss of reservoir in an updip easterly direction. The environment of deposition is probably a barrier-bar associated with an easterly regressing sea. The reservoir parameters are listed.
