Shrader Flats oil field is located in sect. 26, 27, 34, and 35, T31N, R82W, Natrona County, Wyoming. The gas production comes from Muddy Sandstone of Cretaceous age at an average depth of 2,500 ft. The oil production is from the Lakota Formation of Cretaceous age at an average depth of 2,700 ft and the Triassic Jelm Formation about 3,250 ft deep. The reservoirs are sandstones occurring in the upthrown side of a fault-bounded anticline. The power production area is 180 acres and the production mechanism is water drive. The cummulative production from 1964 to 1970 has been 1,410,775 bbl of oil. A structure contour map drawn on the top of the Muddy Sandstone and a correlation chart based on electric logs are given. Porosity, permeability, and reservoir performance and pressure data for each producing formation are given. The oldest tested formation is the Casper Formation of Permo-Pennsylvanian age.
