The Tip Top gas field is located in Sect. 1, 2, 11, and 12, T28N, R114W, Sublette County, Wyoming. The production comes from the Fort Union (Almy) Formation of the middle-upper Paleocene age; the Mesaverde and Frontier formations, and Muddy (Bear River) Sandstone of Cretaceous age; and the Nugget Sandstone of Jurassic age. With the exception of the Muddy Sandstone, which has only one gas well, the proven productive areas of these sandstone reservoirs are Fort Union, 1,700 acres for gas and 940 acres for oil; Mesaverde, 520 acres; Frontier 13,800 acres, and Nugget, 280 acres. The reservoir is a N.-S. trending fault-bounded anticline. Structure contour maps of the tops of the Nugget Sandstone and the first Frontier zone are presented as well as a isopach map of the Nugget and net porosity maps of the first and second Frontier zones. A stratigraphic cross section based on electric logs and a structural cross section are given. The cummulative Frontier gas production to 1970 has been 153,404,984 MMcf, and the gas condensate, 371,795 bbl; and the Nugget oil, 1,520,917 bbl. The porosity, permeability, and other reservoir data are given.
