Magnetic moment of the deuteron and quark degrees of freedom

We estimate the admixture of six-quark state in the deuteron from its magnetic moment by using a simple hybrid model. The six-quark probability comes out to be between 3--6 % and is dependent upon the nucleon-nucleon interaction.
