Examples are given of realistic /sup 1/S/sub 0/ and /sup 3/S/sub 1/--/sup 3/D/sub 1/ nucleon-nucleon potentials in which the short-range part is due to transitions to exotic six-quark states of the MIT-bag type. These potentials describe the phase shifts and mixing parameter in the energy range T/sub L/< or approx. =1 GeV. The obtained admixtures of the NN component in the bag are found to be in good agreement with the theoretical predictions for the six-quark configuration s/sup 6//sub 1/2/. It is shown that the static admixture of the MIT bag in the deuteron is negligibly small; the contribution of the region of overlap of the nucleon bags in the deuteron is estimated to be approx.10%.
