Preparation and magnetic properties of tellurium-containing cadmium-dichromium tetraselenide

Solid solutions containing tellurium were synthesized based on cadmium-dichromium tetraselenide. The structural and magnetic properties were studied. It was established that, compared with the original selenide, tellurium can decrease the effective degree of nonstoichiometry in the solution, causing an increase in the spontaneous magnetization and ferromagnetic moment of the spinel-like chalcogenide.
