Vector Pipeline applied before the National Energy Board for approval to construct a 24-kilometer pipeline to carry natural gas from the international boundary in the St. Clair River near Sarnia, Ontario to an existing compressor station at Dawn, Ontario. This report summarizes the views of the Board, Vector, and various intervenors at a hearing held to consider matters related to the application. Issues discussed include engineering aspects of the proposed facility, environmental impacts, land requirements and route selection, gas supply, markets and transportation contract matters, tolls and other financial matters, and other concerns of public interest. The report concludes with the Board`s decision and order.
