Government Leasing Tax Act: an end to 3rd-party hydro financing

Since last summer, the National Hydropower Association has directed a substantial effort to divert portions of a proposed national tax reform bill which potentially eliminated tax benefits associated with certain hydropower projects. NHA's general counsel, Lee Goodwin, describes the bill, its implications for hydro, and the status of their work to protect future hydropower sales contracts.
