Hydrogen production for the (proposed) installation Scholven III (Gladbeck) (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6767728
This report discussed a few various potential patterns of hydrogen production or recovery for Gladbeck. Originally it was hoped to obtain hydrogen in sufficient quantities partly by splitting the excess gases produced in hydrogenation. However, it became apparent that the government would soon require these gases to be processed further into fuels. Thus it was finally concluded to obtain the hydrogen from coke gas by means of a Linde gas-fractionating installation. Two flowsheets gave material balances for two possible processes.
