- ed.
The ten reports collected here were originally published as separate reports by Editorial Research Reports; they examine the status of energy issues and the effects of policies and actions taken by the Reagan administration and its appointees. Reagan gave energy policy a lower priority than the presidents of the 1970s, and his emphasis has been on production rather than on conservation. The individual reports examine the new administration's policies, nuclear wastes, the western oil boom, solar energy, wood fuels, wind and water technologies, nuclear fusion, synthetic fuels, deep sea mining, and the coal economy. 184 references, 22 figures, 10 tables.
