Analysis of the reaction pp. -->. triangle-open/sup + +/p. pi. /sup -/ at momentum 4 GeV/c

In data on 7920 events of the reaction pp..-->..pp..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ we have studied in detail the characteristics of the reaction pp..-->..triangle-open/sup + +/p..pi../sup -/. The mass spectra of the secondary particles, the distributions in momentum transfer, and the angular distributions have been studied. The latter were studied in terms of angular momenta. The results are compared with the predictions of the Reggeized one-pion exchange model and with data on elastic ..pi..p scattering. A detailed study is made of the mass spectrum of the three-particle system p..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/.
