Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6687786
This document summarizes the research activities within the School of Electrical Engineering of Purdue University. It is intended as a reference document for colleagues, prospective graduate students and organizations interested in electrical engineering research. The research activities of Part 1 are organized according to ten areas. The first eight of these are areas in which the Purdue Electrical Engineering graduate program is divided for administrative purposes. The ten areas are: Automatic Controls; Bioengineering; Circuit Theory; Communication Sciences; Computer Engineering; Electromagnetic Fields; Energy Sources and Systems; Solid State Devices and Materials; Engineering Education; and Software Development. Since a faculty member may have research attributes in more than one area, not all of his or her project summaries will necessarily appear in the same section. Some summaries because of the interdisciplinary nature of the project, might logically appear in more than one section. In these cases the faculty member's area of major interest dictates the section chosen. This implies that all project summaries on a particular topic do not necessarily appear in the same section.
