The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), formed by the electric utiilty industry in 1968 and incorporated in 1975, directs its efforts toward promoting the reliability and adequacy of bulk-power supply. This 12th Annual Review presents the Interregional Review Subcommittee's assessment of future reliability and adequacy; a discussion of the key factors and issues affecting the future of electric-power supply; and detailed region-by-region assessments of reliability and adequacy, including discussion of those issues of specific regional concern. 48 figures, 10 tables.
