This bill was introduced into the Senate of the United States on March 6, 1990 to amend the Solid Waste Disposal Act to grant states the authority to regulate the interstate disposal of hazardous waste and solid waste. This bill will give states the authority to place limitations on the amount of hazardous waste that is transported into the state for the purpose of disposal, as well as prohibiting certain types of hazardous wastes, such as medical wastes.
