Rescattering and the cumulative effect in nuclei

The contribution of multiparticle rescattering to the production of cumulative pions, protons, and kaons from nuclei is studied. The influence of rescattering of a pion on the yield of cumulative protons is taken into account separately. The dependence of the yield of cumulative particles on the initial energy and atomic number is analyzed. The results are compared with experimental data.
