Arkla (Arkansas Louisiana) Gas Co. expands storage capacity

Journal Article · · Pipe Line Ind.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6606726
The expansion, which included the drilling of 27 new wells and cost $10.5 million, allowed the delivery of 200 million cu ft/day of supplemental gas from the 12 billion cu ft storage reservoir during the 1977-78 heating season. The reservoir contains gas which is injected during low-demand warm weather from Arkla's Anadarko Pipe Line; the line pressure is sufficient to inject the gas into the storage field, but it must be compressed on withdrawal.
