Kinetics of pyrocarbon formation from methane and acetylene at temperatures above 1000/sup 0/ (in Russian)

A study was made of the kinetics of the formation of pyrocarbon from methane in the temperature range of 1100 to 1350/sup 0/ and from acetylene at temperatures of 1000 to 1450/sup 0/. Measurements were made of the activation energy of this process. Those were 65 kcal/mol for methane and 34 kcal/mol for acetylene. 1 table, 1 diagram, 7 references.
