Kinetics of forming pyrocarbon from methane on nickel, molybdenum and a tungsten-rhenium alloy (in Russian)

A study was made of the kinetics of forming pyrocarbon from methane on nickel, molybdenum and tungsten at atmospheric pressure and a temperature of 1000/sup 0/. The velocity constants of pyrocarbon formation were shown to attain a stationary value at a specific film thickness. The stationary value of the velocity constant coincides with the stationary constant obtained on quartz. 1 diagram, 1 table, 6 references.
