Real time signal processing X; Proceedings of the Meeting, San Diego, CA, Aug. 20, 21, 1987

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6548820

The conference presents papers on trends in electronic implementations and optical processing, and algorithms and architectures for signal processing. Particular attention is given to design tools for real-time signal processing systems, automatic design and partitioning of VLSI systolic/wavefront arrays, maximum likelihood multichannel multidimensional spectrum estimation, and fault tolerance techniques for systolic arrays. Consideration is given to a systolic array for the efficient execution of the Faddeev algorithm, the wavefront array architecture for executing sequences of matrix operations, and a multidimensional real-time convolver. Other topics include the application of guided-wave optics in signal processing, an optically derived signal set for phased array antennas, and the realization of Lanczos and conjugate gradient algorithms on optical linear algebra processors.
