Book ·
OSTI ID:6424085

A summer survey of residential electric bills compares bills for the largest service territories of the major regulated electric utilities in 49 states and the District of Columbia. The comparisons cover the cost of 250, 500, and 750 kilowatt-hours during the months of June, July, and August, along with the cost in these months of a typical level of electricity use for customers with air conditioners. The total bill includes the base rate, fuel adjustment charge, and taxes. The report is a compilation of completed survey forms arranged alphabetically by state. A composite table in the appendix ranks electric bills by cost.
