Ohio, covers the high demand for this crude, estimated at up to 100,000 bbl/day above the 1.5 million bbl/day supply, despite its 1% sulfur content and low gravity (27/sup 0/API), because of its low price, currently $21/bbl but rising to an expected $30/bbl when decontrol is complete after Oct. 1981, and assured supply; the estimated 950,000 bbl/day consumed at refineries in California and Washington; shipment of Prudhoe Bay crude through the Panama Canal, using the Northville Industries Corp.
