In 1992, the federal circuit courts issued several opinions involving the scope of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions's (FERC or Commission) jurisdiction and procedure under the Natural Gas Act (NGA), the Natural Gas Policy Act (NGPA), the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OSCLA), and the Federal Power Act (FPA). These opinions and their implications are described in this report.
