Determination of sup 187 Ir atomic mass by the sup 187 Os( sup 3 He, t ) sup 187 Ir reaction

The atomic mass excess of {sup 187}Ir is determined to be {minus}39.725{plus minus}0.007 MeV from the measured {ital Q} value of {minus}1.521{plus minus}0.006 MeV for the {sup 187}Os({sup 3}He,{ital t}){sup 187}Ir reaction. The result is compared with some predicted values.
