The atomic mass excesses of {sup 86}Zr and {sup 88}Mo were determined to be {minus}77.807{plus minus}0.031 and {minus}72.703{plus minus}0.021 MeV from the measured {ital Q} values of {minus}40.136{plus minus}0.030 and {minus}43.278{plus minus}0.020 MeV for the {sup 90}Zr({alpha},{sup 8}He){sup 86}Zr(g.s.) and {sup 92}Mo({alpha},{sup 8}He){sup 88}Mo(g.s.) reactions. The results were compared with some predicted values.
