The cross section of the process e/sup +/e/sup -/..--> pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ was measured in the region of the phi resonance. An upper bound B/sub pipi/<6.6 x 10/sup -4/ is obtained for the branching ratio of the phi..--> pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ decay. The form factor of the pion at ..sqrt..s=m/sub phi/ is vertical-barF/sub ..pi../vertical-bar/sup 2/=2.6 +- 0.2.
