Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/6359760· OSTI ID:6359760
The solar heating system described provides space heating and hot water to an office building and warehouse in Kentucky. The installation has a system of flat plate collectors using a propylene glycol solution and another array of solar air heaters. In the first system, heat is stored in tanks, and in the second system, heat is stored in crushed rock. The system is described, and its performance is analyzed using a system energy balance technique. (LEW)
