A new LNG-loading procedure developed by Norway's Moss-Rosenberg Verft A/S significantly reduces the cooldown time required. The approach cools down the transitional area between the tank wall and skirt, within a noncooled skirt-supported spherical tank, directly by means of different levels of cooling ducts arranged on the skirt.
