Measurement of spread of transmission times of single-photoelectron signals through FEU-49B photomultiplier

The distributions of the transmission times of single-photoelectron signals through an FEU-49B photomultiplier are measured with illumination of individual points on the photocathode (and also with uniform illumination of the photocathode) by short light pulses. The half-width of the distribution of the transmission times for single-photoelectron signals with uniform illumination of the photocathode is 19 nsec and is determined by the peripheral regions of the photocathode.
