Improved dewatering of five coal concentrate

Wet cleaning processes produce concentrates of higher moisture content than the commercial coals. The moisture content of coke-oven charge prepared in Ukrainian washeries is relatively high (9 to 10% after drying and 10 to 12% without drying). For normal coke-oven performance, the charge should contain no more than 7% moisture. Since the fine coal concentrate makes up more than half the entire charge (ca. 55%), the overall moisture content can best be lowered by improving its dewatering conditions. One promising procedure is the separate dewatering of fine concentrate and coarse slurry. In order to improve coal cleaning techniques by separately dewatering the fine concentrate and coarse slurry (13 to 1 mm size fraction), one must select the correct type of centrifuge and develop optimum dewatering conditions. Many coking plant washeries are currently equipped with type NVSh-1000 (VShP-92) centrifuges of the worm discharge type, but they have been found to have certain operating fauigh adsorption capacity) are generally met by brown coal low-temperature ompared with predictions using the hourly computer program. The concept of a lumped thermal network for predicting heat losses from in-ground heat storage tanks, developed earlier in the project, has beethe cased-hole log data from various companies and additional comparison factors were calculated for the cased-hole log data. These comparison factors allow for some quantification of these uncalibrated log data.
