Near-threshold anomaly in the reaction /sup 7/Li(t, /sup 9/Li)/sup 1/H

We report the results of a theoretical description of the threshold anomaly in the reaction /sup 7/Li(t, /sup 9/Li)/sup 1/H on the basis of the S-matrix formalism in the framework of perturbation theory. Analytic expressions are obtained for the cross section for the /sup 7/Li(t, /sup 9/Li)/sup 1/H reaction in the region of the anomaly. On the assumption that a resonance state of the /sup 10/Be system with E/sub x/ = 21.156 MeV and T = 2 is manifested in the anomaly, an estimate of the neutron binding energy in the /sup 10/Li nucleus is given: S/sub n/ = -28 +- 60 keV.
