Among the topics are the physiology and chemistry of CO effects; CO uptake from urban air and additive effects of cigarette smoking and exposure to ambient CO on carboxyhemoglobin; relation between CO and coronary disease; CO and behavior; effects of CO during exercise; effects of CO on the developing embryo, fetus, and newborn infant; population especially susceptible to CO exposure; toxicological effects of nitrogen dioxide alone in experimental animals; effects of combined exposures to NO/sub 2/ and other agents in experimental animals; toxicologic effects of other NO/sub x/ in experimental animals; effects of nitrogen in man; effects of combined exposures to NO/sub 2/ and other agents in man; animals experiments on effects of SO/sub x/; dose-response relations of SO/sub x/ exposures; task force on synergism and antagonism of pollutants in producing health effects; and task force on the effects of air pollution on ecologic systems.
