Complex character of resonance multipoles

The graphs which take into account rescattering in the process of radiative resonance scattering of hadrons are considered. It is shown that the contribution of these graphs corresponds phenomenologically to the presence of an imaginary part in the resonance multipoles. The results of a calculation of the photon spectrum in the process of radiative ..pi../sup +/p scattering in the region of the isobar ..delta../sup + +/(1236) are reported.
