Book ·
OSTI ID:6126944
The APCA Board of Directors has initiated program themes focused on key environmental issues. Thus far, this initiative has resulted in special programming in the areas of acid rain, hazardous waste management, and indoor air pollution and its control. Programming efforts in the area of acid rain led in 1984 to the highly successful International Seminar Series on Acid Rain Options. The seminars were presented in five cities: Pittsburgh, Chicago, Newark, Boston, and Columbia, Maryland during the period May 1984 through January 1985. The series addressed the various policy options proposed for dealing with acid rain in the U.S. and Canada. Appropriate consideration was given to scientific, economic, social, and environmental aspects. This book presents the papers discussed in these seminars.
