Title: Analyses of hydrogenation gases (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6122806

These reports analyzed several gases involved at different stages in the hydrogenation process according to their density and their contents, in percent by volume and sometimes in grams per standard cubic meter, of the following compounds: carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, isobutane, isobutylene, normal butane, normal butylene, total 5-carbon compounds, and total hydrocarbons. The gases analyzed included rich gas (gases rich in hydrocarbons, from the second stage of decompression of products from liquid-phase hydrogenation chambers), lean gas (gas poor in hydrocarbons and rich in hydrogen, from the first stage of decompression of products), gases which would be condensed into liquid product of the hydrogenation chambers, gases in the rich-gas and lean-gas washes, gases at the entrance and exit of the washes and hydrogenation chambers, gases dissolved in residues, residual gases from carbonization of solid residues, and circulating gases of the liquid-phase chambers. 2 tables.
