Concentration dependences of the properties of SnTe solid solutions of the Sn-Sb-Te system

In SnTe-based solid solutions of the Sn-Sb-Te system the microhardness, Hall carrier concentration, and thermoelectric coefficient have found to be nonmonotonic functions of the Te content along with Sb isoconcentration curves. The results obtained have been interpreted on the basis of concepts pertaining to the chemical interaction in the solid solution with the formation of Sb/sub 2/Te/sub 3/ molecular complexes.
