Emission spectra of CO[sub 2], vibrationally excited by a DC electric discharge, were recorded at a resolution of 0.006 cm[sup [minus]1], using a Fourier transform spectrometer (Bruker 120HR), in the spectral range of 13--18 [mu]m. Results concerning 30 vibrational transitions with [nu][sub 3] = 1, 2, 3 of [sup 12]C [sup 16]O[sub 2] are reported. The band centers and the spectroscopic constants for all the vibrational levels involved are given. They reproduce the experimental wavenumbers with a rms of the order of 6 [times] 10[sup [minus]4] cm[sup [minus]1] for transitions with [nu][sub 3] = 1 and of 5 [times] 10[sup [minus]3] cm[sup [minus]1] for the others.
