The smokeless charging method with moist charge, from cars fitted with autonomous gas extraction, combustion and cleaning apparatus, keeps down the nitrogen oxides content of the coke-oven gas, shortens the charging period and reduces the steam consumption in the coke-oven plant, the ash and mositure content of the coal tar, deposit formation in the ascension pipes and the total effluent volume.
