Unit-cell parameters of (TlGaSe/sub 2/)(TlInS/sub 2/)/sub x/ solid solutions

The purpose of this work was to determine the unit-cell parameters of (TlGaSe/sub 2/)/sub 1-x/(TlInS/sub 2/)/sub x/ solid solutions (with 0 to 0.45 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.55 to 1). The single crystals for the investigation were grown by the Bridgman-Stockbarger method. The single crystals of the solid solution grown were subjected to thorough x-ray diffraction analysis. The unit-cell parameters b and c vary according to the laws of solid solutions, while an anomaly is observed for the value of ..cap alpha.. in (TlGaSe/sub 2/)/sub 0.4/(TlInS/sub 2/)/sub 0.6/.
