Proposed 1972 outer continental shelf oil and gas general lease sale, Offshore, Louisiana

The project consists of a proposed oil and gas lease sale, at the outer continental shelf offshore Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico. One hundred thirty-five tracts (618,758 acres) of OCS lands are proposed for leasing action. The risk potential is related to adverse effects on the environment and other resource use which may result from accidental or chronic oil spillage.
