Electric power supply and demand: 1981-1990. [Monograph; tables]

Book ·
OSTI ID:6045595
The supply and demand projections presented in this report in a series of tables are aggregations of projections developed early in 1981 by the individual utility members of each regional reliability council. Uncertainties exist because of changing circumstances due to unanticipated demand factors, construction schedules, regulatory restrictions, and fuel availability. The projections are grouped under near- and long-term peak demand, summer/winter peak-demand ratios, peak-demand growth rates, planned resources, reserve margins, installed generating capability by principal fuel type and by percent of total of the fuel type, net electrical-energy requirements by principal energy source and by percent of total of principal energy source, net electrical-energy requirements growth rates, annual load factors, estimated fossil-fuel requirements, planned additions of generating units, and planned conversions of units to coal-firing.
