1988 electricity supply and demand: Annual data summary for 1988-1997

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7019778
The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) annually collects and publishes ten-year projections of electricity supply and demand of the nine Regional Reliability Councils. This Electricity Supply and Demand report provides this data for the 1988-1997 period. The projections were developed by the nine Regional Reliability Councils and reflect conditions as of January 1, 1988. Data on peak demand, net energy for load, capacity resources, capacity margins, and planned additions and retirements of generating units have been extracted from the April 1, 1988 Coordinated Bulk Power Supply Program (IE-411) reports submitted to the US Department of Energy (DOE) by each Regional Reliability Council. Data on generating capacity, electrical energy production, fossil fuel requirements, planned conversions of units from oil to coal, and existing and planned additions of transmission lines were reported by the Regional Reliability Councils directly to NERC.
